Pink Sequin Bible - Product Review


I was recently given this adorable, oh so girly, pink sequin Holy Bible to review by Thomas Nelson Publishing (booksneeze.com).  I was so excited to review this Bible, as I knew my 4 year old daughter would love it!  Our little girl has been asking lots of questions lately about salvation, Heaven, etc., which is very exciting for all of us!  I thought this would be a little encouragement for her at her age to want to read God's word daily.  And, to say the least, she didn't let me down.  She absolutely adores her new "big girl" Bible, and loves to show it to everyone around...telling them about God's word.

This Bible is decorated beautifully with vibrant colors on hearts, flowers, and polka-dots, and accented with sequin hearts and glitter.  I was a little concerned when I saw the glitter, fearing that it would come off easily, as many things do, but it is made into the cover and does not leave a trail.

This Bible is in the Children's International Version, which at first made me a little hesitant, as we try to teach our children their verses from KJV.  But I have quickly come to love the translation to help me explain a story/verse/passage that I've read to her from KJV.  The language is modern and easy to apply to a child's level.  And this Bible contains the entire Bible...no more little New Testaments, etc.  There are even nice maps in the back of the Bible that makes it "just like Daddy/Mommy's Bible". 

I think the design and language of this Bible is perfect for the age of 4-8.  Although most 4 year old children are not reading something on this level on their own, they can have it read to them and understand it quite well.  I give this Bible 5 stars.  It is well made, cute, and as girly as it can be.  Perfect for that little princess in your life.
