We're HOME!!!
Well, it seems like it has been forever since I've been able to get on here, but thankfully my mom did a great job keeping everyone updated with news and pictures while we were in the hospital. Thanks, Mom!!
We were discharged from the hospital today, and BOY!, am I glad!! It's so great to be home. I am having to be much more careful at home than at the hospital, because it's much easier to overdo it and become very sore without knowing it...especially since I haven't got to spend much time with Katie until now, but it's still GREAT to be home! I have so much I want to do here...but it will all come in time. Right now, I am having to take it easy...pretty much just doing the basics for Austin, and trying to give Katie some of my time with reading or watching her movies. But I'm sure it won't be long before we're back in the swing of things.
Our c-section went great! Obviously, recovery is going to be a little hard...it always is...but I am feeling good (especially considering what my body just went through). I'm so thankful that Austin was born healthy, with no complications! He's such a precious one. He is doing great nursing, sleeping, and being very content most of the time! Katie is adjusting wonderfully! She runs every time she hears him crying...she doesn't like him being upset. It's so sweet! She loves to hold him and kiss him. She's a wonderful big sister!! And we are SO VERY VERY VERY blessed to have my sister Megan and my Mom staying with us for the next 2 weeks to help out. It has been such a blessing for me to know that Katie was taken care of and having a good time while we were in the hospital, and I know these next two weeks will make me even more thankful for the extra help!
I am hoping to get some great "home" shots of Austin and Katie over the next few days to post on here. We didn't have much time to take any good pictures at the hospital of Austin. But, until I get better ones posted, here are a few pictures that you haven't seen...
